Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. As a Law Clerk, you will provide support to our attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the legal field.
Duties:
- Assist in drafting correspondences and legal documents, including notices, pleadings, memorandums, and discovery requests/answers
- Review and analyze documents for relevant information and accuracy
- E-file documents via Odyssey and i2File
- Assist with case management tasks, such as organizing and archiving files, and maintaining case calendars
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for depositions and trials
- Conduct legal research on various topics and present findings to attorneys
- Draft invoices and invoice statements
Qualifications:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Knowledge of legal drafting techniques and principles
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
